Down under the ocean, beneath where submarines roam, lies The Twilight zone. Here swims sparkling, colourful jelly-fish and the gruesome Gulper eel, but the most fascinating one is the giant squid. One day, way down in the deepest part of the twilight zone lay a young, ten-year-old giant squid, crying because he hadn't got the ability to change colour. After a week of feeling sorry for himself, he decided if he couldn't change colour he would have an adventure. He had swum the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Tasman Sea, but there was nothing strange until he reached the Coral Sea. There he was chased by a shoal of great white shark. They chased him until he reached a beach. The beach was beautiful. The water was pure light blue. The sand was like flakes of gold Suddenly he felt a blast of power in his body and then he turned bright red. Here is where he spent the rest of his days. Thomas P. 6 |
THE LITTLE BLUE BLUR I'm swimming about round and round, Just like a little blue blur. Down pops a juicy pink worm. I dashed forward, Suddenly from out of nowhere I stopped in my tracks. Wriggling and squirming through the air, The little blue blur isn't doing too well. Sitting on a plate with chips and peas on the side. BANG! Everything went black, And he thought back To when he was A little Blue Blur Swimming round and round. By Thomas Burns |
