A Christmas I Will Remember (A Poem for P.3)

by Laura and Michele

On Christmas Eve night,
Carollers sing by moonlight,
While children play with delight,
Because Santa is coming tonight!

Lights out! Don't shout!
Santa's coming down the chimney spout!
So try to be good and go to bed,
And think about your letter that Santa has read.

A white blanket of snow,
Lies far down below,
While Christmas lights glow,
Santa cheers Ho! Ho!

I hear some bells, what could it be?
Is it Santa? Lets go see!
I look round the door and under the tree,
Is a big bag of toys, are those for me?

I sneak back to bed,
Lots of thoughts fill my head!
In the window a light appears over the shed Could it be Rudolf with his nose glowing red?

So here at last it's Christmas Day
And with my presents I'm going to play
To Santa and Rudolf the reindeer I say, Thank-you for coming, I wish you could stay!!
