A Christmas to Remember (A Poem for P.6)
by Thomas & Ruairi
| One Christmas night,
As the moon shone bright, A blanket of snow began to swell, Up and over hill and dell. There was a bang on the roof, That sounded like a hoof. So I turned off the light, And closed my eyes tight. Whilst down in the living room, It began to bloom, With presents and toys, For the good girls and boys, I couldn't sleep and got up out of bed, And millions thoughts went through my head. I leapt to the window, And saw Santa in his sleigh And his reindeers hoping for some hay. Were there presents down stairs for me to seek? I couldn't resist having a peek. There were toys here and there and everywhere, Even piled on top of the old armchair. |
