Celebrating Christmas (A Poem for P.4)

by Zita-Maria & Nicole

Cards come in a cluster
While children get in a fluster
Snowflakes fall low
As lights inside glow

The angel looks down
As presents gather around
Up at the North Pole, where it's cold as can be
Elves are packing presents for you and me

Sleigh bells ring
As children sing
They go to sleep
As the reindeers leap

Icicles hanging from the roof
Then comes the clatter of a hoof
A holly wreath hangs on the door
And snug in their beds the children snore

Mouth-watering candy canes hang on the tree
Yipee, Yipee they're all for me
In a cracker there will be a surprise
When I see it I won't believe my eyes

People go to mass to listen to the priest
Then return to their homes for a Christmas feast
All through the day the children play
With brand new toys, they're happy girls and boys
