The Night That Santa Came (A Poem for P.5)
by Jessica & Danielle
| I look out my window at night,
To see carollers sing with delight. Their faces aglow, As they sing high and low, And carry their lanterns for light. My sign says, "Santa stop here" And I hope I'll soon hear a reindeer. Then a clatter and thump, A crash and a bump, I think good old Rudolf is near. Without making the slightest noise, Santa leaves down all the toys. He goes to the plate, And says, " Yum this is great!" These are very kind girls and boys. He eats his last chocolate bun, And takes a big leap, then a run. It's now Christmas day. Santa's gone on his way, And I'm having lots of great fun. |
