Cuttings root quite easily if put in 1 inch squares of Oasis and kept damp. Before long a root system develops, and the fuschia is then easily repotted into a 3 inch pot of multi-purpose compost. Move into the next size of pot when the roots show at the base of the pot. |

Early in the season use a high nitrogen ferilizer. When buds appear change to a high potash fertilizer - either Chempak Fuchsia food or tomato fertilizer. |

Overwintering: When overwintering fuchsias keep them as dry as possible. Only water sparingly and never allow compost to dry out completley. |

Only plant out first tender fuchsias whenever any possibility of frost has dissapeared - generally after the end of May in the U.K. |

Add water retaining granules to hanging baskets. |

Regularly remove dead
flowers to encourage new flowers. Pinching out will delay flowering.
