Farmed at Crossgare, Ballynacanon, Crossmakeever, Aghadowey and possibly at Ballyness, Castleroe.
Could this be the other Mary Weir?
Worshipped at Aghadowey. In 02/1863, James found a Queen Elizabeth silver coin (dated 1592) in a field - it is now held in the National Museum, Dublin. He is buried in the graveyard attached to Agha>
dowey Presbyterian Church.
Buried in the graveyard attached to Aghadowey Presbyterian Church.
Lived at Dunaden, 44 Martinez Avenue, Belfast.
Gavin's grandfather, George William Bamford acted as one of the executors to James Bamford's will. The other executor was a Belfast solicitor called George Johnston.
James is buried alongside his wives in the City Cemetry, Belfast.
She married her 'cousin' James Bamford (1871 - 1958)
Operated a drapery business with his youngest brother, Joseph, until their partnership was dissolved in October 1883.
They lived at Regent Street, Kilrea - the same street as second Kilrea Presbyterian Church.
Thomas Bamford was married on the 17th March 1863 in Finvoy Meeting House
to Nannie McCahon, the third daughter of Robert McCahon, a grocer of Kilrea,
County Londonderry; his brother, John Bamford, was one of the witnesses.
Nannie was born on the 26th March 1835. Thomas and Nannie lived at Regent
Street, Kilrea (on the same street as the Second Presbyterian Church). In 1870 Thomas had a Woollen Drapery business on the Diamond, Kilrea. For several years Thomas also operated a drapery business at the Arcade, Kilrea, together with his youngest brother, Joseph; thei>
r partnership was dissolved in October 1883. Nannie died on the 19th April 1896, aged 61 years, and reputedly Thomas died in 1908.
Initially he was a shopkeeper / draper in Kilrea. He had an acrimonious dispute with the minister of 2nd Kilrea Presbyterian Church (Rev. Colhoun). Consequently, when he applied for a certificate of disjunction in April 1890 it was not granted (see minutes of church congregational committee).
He moved to Belfast about 1895.
William and family lived at 101 Albertbridge Road, Belfast and in the 1901 census he described himself as a retired poor rate collector.
From 1900 to 1902, a drapers shop (Bamford Brothers) operated from 103 Albertbridge Road. From 1902 to 1905, the family lived at 175 Templemore Avenue and his son, John, ran a drapers shop from those premises.
William lived at 15 Cyprus Avenue, Bloomfield for a year or so before moving to 17 Cyprus Gardens in about 1910.
He remained there until he died, reported as aged 95.

I have a Peggy Elizabeth Rea born 3/9/1847 daughter of John Rea and Ann
Trimble of Ballydonnely, Rasharkin. Her twin sister was Mary Jane Rea. Two brother George Trimble Rea and John Trimble Rea became Presbyterian
ministers. It is possible that this is your Margaret Eliza Rea but I cannot prove it (the Rea connection is only a recent discovery on my side).
Best wishes, Bobby Forrest
