1708 - James Maguire made a survey of the town of Downpatrick which is printed in The City of Downe by R. E. Parkinson. Arranged by quarter, it describes each premises by name, giving its size (rear, front and depth), its principal tenant, the tenant in possession, the half yearly rent due and, in many cases, includes a brief description of the building. There is a manuscript copy of this survey available, made by Rev. David Stewart in 1927 (PRONI D/1759/2A/8).

1740 - Protestant householders (PRONI T/808/15258).

1766 - Householders in the parish of Kilbroney and Seapatrick (PRONI T/808/15264-7 and RCB Lib) and the parish of Shankill (PRONI T/808/15264-7 and NAI 1A 46 100).
