Here is a short summary of some of my other favourites. In the future I hope to include info on the Hollies, the Kinks, among others. I am also including links to other sites which are dedicated to the 60's. These sites are excellent and are well worth visiting. |

Roy Orbison One of the great distinct voices of the rock'n'roll years. From the release of 'Only the Lonely' in 1960 he had 9 top ten hits in four years. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. He had No 1 hits with 'Oh Pretty Woman' and 'Running Scared'. In 1988 he joined the Travelling Wilburys which also included Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and George Harrison. Sadly Roy died suddenly of a heart attack on December 6 1988 |
