Larne Cricket Club

In a high scoring match at the Grammar School Larnes third string comfortably beat Armagh by five wickets.  The visitors batted first and hit 174-7 in thier foirty overs.  Top bowlers fro Larne were15 year old Eddie Wilson and Dean Hodge with his leg spin, while two thirteen years old, Andrew McGarrell and Cameron Rhys also impressed and show good promise for the future.

In reply Eddie hunter hit eighteen, but a hundred run partnership between the old Hand David Swan with 33 and a superb 67 by Daryl Service broke the back of Armagh, who arrogantly thought that they would win the game.  These thoughts were snuffed out by a quuickfire knock from Jonathan King, who saw the home side home with 8 overs to spare.
