This photograph was taken in 1907 from the opposite side of the street which is still muddy and unpaved. The Thatch pub on the left was replaced by an Ulster Bank. The small cottage on the extreme right is the oldest dwelling in Ballyclare where the Presbyterian minister hid some United Irishmen after the Battle of Antrim in 1798
