Recent and forthcoming events in Ballysillan Gymnastics club

National success at the double: The 2002 British National Championships proved a great success for Ballysillan - Gold Medals for the second year in succession for the Mens 4 Group, Gold Medals for our Men's Pair (Sean & Michael), Bronze for the 3rd year in a row for Megan & Michael, joint third for our other Men's pair (Steven & James), Silver for Andrew and Bronzes for Sean and James in Tumbling.
More success for Sean at Schools: Following on from his three medals at the Nationals Sean returned to Stoke to win Bronze for his school (St Therese of Lisieux PS).(see Picture)
Minister of Sport visits Ballysillan: Michael McGimpsey, Minister for Sport in NI, visited the Club and praised the work of the children and coaches, he saw examples of the work including a display by the Senior Squad. Among the other guests of the Club on the night were Derek Wylie, Manager of Ballysillan Leisure Centre, Bob Black, Chairman of the NI Sports Acrobatics Committee and Simon Fisher, Manager of Safeway, Shore Road, Belfast, one of the Clubs main supporters over the last two years. Weekend Camp: the Club is planning to run an advanced training weekend with the assistance of Aidan Crowley in August.
