ORCHESTRAS

The Music Centre offers invaluable ensemble opportunities for young musicians by providing a four tier orchestral structure incorporating open nights, concert performance and senior group representation abroad.

Stringed instrument players have the opportunity to progress through each of the four tiers while Wind and Percussion players transfer from Concert Bands to join the orchestral structure at Tier III (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL) and Tier IV (SENIOR LEVEL).
Students being taught orchestral instruments at the Music Centre are automatically enrolled in a group appropriate to their ability and are subject to regular monitoring, culminating in a review at the end of each academic year.
