Peaceful Girl 1969 - Lahinch x Unnamedx Achill
Peaceful Girl was owned for a few years in the early 1980's. She had tremendous limbs. We bred a Hunters Fort (Tb) filly foal from her which we sold to Donegal. Hunters Fort was the sire of the International Showjumper, Lisnamarrow, ridden by Janet Hunter for Great Britain. The Hunters Fort filly, Foreglen Pearl, went on to breed a horse by Campaigner called Cill Aine, which is part of the Irish Army showjumping team.
We qualified the mare for the Greenvale Championships in Millstreet, where she finished 5th in a class of over 30 qualified mares from all over Ireland. We sold the mare there to Noel Regan of Mallow and the last we heard of her was when she foaled a Creggan Diamond colt at the age of 23 in 1992. There are at least two purebred mares out of her on the RID register, Coolcaum Girl (1987) by Golden Warrior RID and Strandville Mist (1990) by Gold Mist RID.
